Cartography, is in charge of drafting, editing and drawing maps. Paper maps provide basic information of reality, but they lack specific details that help us better understand landscape.
Updating information on printed map is very cumbersome, and printing a new edition/version happens more often at distances of time, so that in very few cases we have accurate information in real time.

Digital Cartography, is the process by which a data collection is processed and integrated into a virtual image. Digital maps can be updated more easily and their dependents do not necessarily require a high level of GIS knowledge.
These maps can integrate high volumes of information, mainly filtration of this with specific requirements of projects.

Such information obtained is used by the public or private sector for:

  • mapping and cadastral registration of natural or constructed object;
  • creating a land management using GIS;
  • visual attractiveness for land investment and projects;
  • updating general plans of settlement and thematic plans in digital form;
  • inventory of new/old buildings, sightseeing, transport networks, water, gas, sewerage etc .;
  • 3D modeling solutions for territorial planning;
  • complex physical-geographical studies of settlements.
